Headsets are cycling components that most mortals don't even notice until they need to adjust the spacers or fiddle with the forks.

They sit unassumingly on the top of the handlebar stem and do their job without any fuss, but the do need to be replaced every now and again. If you have recently bought a bike second hand or without a fit, it's possible that you may need to add or remove some spacers to make your reach more comfortable.
